Conical Hoists

Enriched by the vast experience, we are engaged in offering a wide range of Conical Hoists to the clients. Manufactured in compliance to IS-3938/1983 in order to meet 1st/4th duty applications, our products are robust, reliable and ideal for heavy duty applications.

Constructional Feature:

Main Housings:
- Main housing (1) is of rolled and welded construction, all the hoist parts having been housed inside, thus forming a single integral compact unit.
Motor:
- Hoisting motor (2) is in - house manufactured and is a combination of an electric motor with disc brake, operating on sliding rotor pushes from the braking position in to running position in to running position by counteracting the force of the rotor return spring whenever the motor is switched on.
- All motor are squirrel cage induction type, conforming to IS 325 for crane duty application with F class insulation as per BS 2613.
- Suitable for working on 415 volts, 3 phase, 50 HZ, AC and are rated for 40% CDF. The starting and stalling torques of motor are 220% and 290% of full load torque respectively.
Brake:
- Built in brake is a mechanical disc brake (3), conical in construction designed for 200% of full load torque of motor at rated load.
- The brake is applied automatically when the motor is switched off or in the event of power failure that is positive and easily adjustable.
Gear Box:
- Being grease lubricated and mounted on anti friction bearing, totally enclosed type within the cast iron gear housing, the high speed gear are manufactured from alloy steel and are designed as per IS 4460 for HP ratings.
Rope Drum:
- Manufactured from tested quality plates and machined accurately for the required wire rope pitch. Rope drum is driven through an integral gear and shall be housed on large roller bearing at either ends.
Wire Rope:
- Conform to 6 X 37 construction, ungalvanised, pre-formed type as per IS 2266.
Rope Guide:
- Accurate machined to suite rope drum pitch for guiding the rope and the operating the built in- limit switched for limiting the hook travel at either ends. The rope lightener moving along with the rope guide ensured correct tensioning of the wire rope during the operation.
Limit Switches:
- Every hoist is provided with built in limit switched to control the top the bottom positions of the hook.
- Tappets can be adjusted to any position in between the range provided. These limit switches are actuated by rope guide.
Control:
- Control of the hoist is affected through a pendant push button station. The control voltage shall be 110 volts, 50 Hz AC.
- Designed for use in industries and are provided with protective insulation.
Testing:
- Every hoist unit before dispatch is tested at 125% of the rated load capacity on single fall of rope.
- The components pass the rigorous test, the hoist is approved for dispatch.
